We stayed at the Divi February 15-22 2017.. The front desk was great the manager took great care of us. We had a awesome room. 3410 . They were very clean. Our maid was great! I really enjoyed the food it was fresh and nice variety. The beach was beautiful! The only things I wish they would change is the drinks. They seemed to be watered down. Also the pool hours, they close the pool nightly at 7 pm . That's to early should be later especially when your on vacation. They said closed for pool maintenance however sign said opens at 7 am and that's when they were doing pool maintenance. I loved the people very friendly .... we will be back!

Worst Place I Ever Stayed
- door
April 11, 2012

My vacation was March 26 - April 2, 2012. The Divi Divi All Inclusive was the worst place I ever stayed. Upon arrival we were welcomed, handed a packet (never told what was in it) and brought to our room. Our bell hop told us about the room, the refrigerator was empty. All the other all inclusives I've stayed at had water, soda, etc. free of charge. The room was clean but old, out dated, a valve sticking out of the wall in the bathroom just not luxurious for $4,988.00. No one can believe I spent this much money. The food was terrible - people we talked to that have stayed with you numerous times said the food had really gone downhill. The Red Parrot was the only decent food there including both resorts. The buffet should be shut down between the terrible food the bugs and the birds flying all around while you are trying to eat. The packet by the way which I was told by people around the pool had information about the activities at the resorts. I found out 3 days into the trip there is a meeting every morning at 10:00 am for new arrivals. The pool activities included tye dying t-shirts (I am 48 and my husband is 58) and bingo. There wasn't any music around the pool during the day. I have heard of being quiet and relaxing on vacation but this was ridiculous. The cleaning of the lobby was done in the morning around 9:00 am when people are walking all over the place - a large bucket of soap water is dumped on the floor and they have a scrubbing machine that they use. I would expect cleaning would be done during the nite when there is no threat of slipping and getting hurt. The only friendly employees were the chamber maids, 3 concierge girls and a bartender named Gilbert (AWESOME). The alcohol was watered down. By Thursday I was done drinking what they call alcohol, I never new name brand rum and vodka could be so weak. Our sink was clogged at one point and once we reported it maintenance was right on it. On top of the $4,988.00 we spent over $500.00 on food outside of the resort (food was included) but was so bad. The Paparazzi Restaurant served spaghetti and marinara sauce equivalent to a can of spaghetios. Needless to say, we were both very, very disappointed with the food, alcohol, employees and accomodations. Luckily we rented a car and got to see the whole island which is absolutely gorgeous and we will be going back to Aruba but no where near the Divi Divi and the Tamarijan. I wouldn't even go back there if I was offered a free week that is how bad it is. The do have a beautiful beach though.

Divi Aruba AI

June 14, 2010

A fab first time to Divi Aruba AI. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, the communal facilities are all excellent and the resort is directly on the beach. The food is of excellent quality and presented well, The first AI we have stayed in and raved about the dining experience. The location is in between the high rise hotels and the city of Oranjestad, only a short cheap bus ride either way, well worth it. Its on the best beach on the island and the sea is just glorious and the sand the finest, its more suited to the adult clientele and the Tamarind is more suited to families. The evening entertainment was of a very high standard and we enjoyed our 2 weeks there tremendously. My only point for improvement is that they should refurb the rooms and bathrooms, although very clean, they are very tired and the bathrooms would benefit from being a wetroom or shower room. This did not detract from our wonderful holiday but it would improve it all the more if they were more modern facilities. The furniture and fittings have seen better days. We would still go back tomorrow! The friendly staff were much better than the big high rise hotel staff that we visited where they were stiff and all sirs and madams, If you want a friendly interactive place, with excellent food and entertainment this is the place for you. A wonderful time was had and we would just love to share it and give our thanks to the hard working staff.

5th Stay at the Divi - Divi

December 28, 2007

Hello.
I am writing this to you December 28 2007..I just wanted to up date our review of the Divi Divi all inclusive. . We have been coming here for 5 years & know Aruba very well. I wanted to let everyone know that the divi has continued to improve.
I thought that our vacation spot could not get any better but the Divi continues to improve there Hotels. Every year they spend more and more money trying to improve the divi & the Tamerin. They keep trying to make a great place even better.. Both hotels built glass walls around half of the outdoor dinning Tris. This was a huge improvement because this is a nice cool clean area to eat your buffet style meal. Sometimes it was nice to get away from the elements like: birds, iguana's, the 85 degree heat & the smokers.(although I do enjoy a nice cub**n cigar)...
The Tam is a bit younger & sporty, it feachers some pool tables, Internet cafe, large gym, giant sitting area with wide screen plasma TV, Shopping mall, a bunch of nice bars and restaurants between the two resorts. The staff is always friendly!! We are 35 years old and like the Divi side as it is extremely relaxing. Of-course both have gorgeous beaches an arms length away...These two places are absolutely the best places to stay in Aruba!. I highly recommend staying here. & I found out that you get a discount if have stayed over 4 times... even in high season.
They have even more plans to just keep getting better. I feel this has a 3 star rating because the rooms are very good but are still basic. If you rated hotels on service, accessibility, location, enmities, & quality of food than this is a 5 star hotel.
The only negatives are they do not serve top shelf alcohol & there selection has diminished too. They all laugh when I break out my own bottle of absolut vodka. I know its all inclusive but i like that brand and I'm on vacation!!!!!!

The best place !!!!

My wife and I are going to the Divi- Divi for our fourth time. I can't say enough good things about this small & personal hotel. The 5 & 4 star hotels are so high and mighty, We found them to be full of themselves and somewhat snobby. At the Divi you can just relax and be yourself. The beach in not crowed at all, you can leave your things out and its going to be there when you get back. Its not over crowded at all, we have not had to wait in line for dinner like some all-inclusives. The rooms are what you would expect ...a room....We usually get the ocean view. They come with ice cold ac that you control, a good size bathroom with the his her sink( a must), cable TV, a small safe, a sliding glass door leading to a small balcony/ patio with table a chairs. The beach is the absolute best, with the crystal clear water & the clean white sandy beaches. The divi provides the lounge chairs, straw umbrellas / huts, foam mat and even your beach towels....All drinks are free, the food is free....there is free nightly entertainment. Also included in this all inclusive resort is the safety of a smaller establishment, you can swim in the ocean at night or have a sunset drink or just sit on the beach to the wee hours in the morning and not worry about your safety....We highly recommend the Divi.... on your 4th stay they lower the rate for your loyalty and after 5 stays the lower it some-more...(not in there high season)with the reduced rates I booked our trip myself and save $1000. and got better air flight too.

Paradise on Earth

My wife & I will be visiting the All Inclusive Divi this year from 2/25/06-4/5/06 and this will be our 7th year in a row. There is a reason why we return to this resort. The tourists, staff, food, lodging, beach and the Arubian people are fantastic. No wonder they call this place One Happy Island. We both are counting down the days until we can once again be in Paradise.

Sincerely yours,

Howard A. Adams

My husband and I love it there. We even stayed there on our Honeymoon. The Beach is beautiful and quite private. The grounds are well kept. The rooms are nice and clean. The buffets are very good, but my favorite was the Brick oven pizzas at the bar. We have been there 4 years in a row and some of the staff remember us by name.

We have been staying at this hotel for years, it is by far our favorite place. Friendly bartenders and staff wherever they work in the hotel. Food has gone down since we first styed there 10 years ago, but that's to be expected. They are constantly upgrading areas of the hotel, pool, lobby, 100 & 200 buildings, casitas, and so on. We now go for two weeks several times per year and love the fact that we are not locked into a time share. We look for the cheapest airfares (usually midwek) then book the room. Looking forward to our next visits which are already booked, 7 weeks in paradise in Aruba in the next 7 months!

Rooms are very nice, beach is awesome and staff are very helpful and friendly. Bar service is great and you do get better service if you tip each day even though it's all-inclusive.
Breakfasts are wonderful, lunches are pretty good depending on what you want, but dinner buffets are not our thing. Red Parrot has great appetizers (salad, French Onion soup, etc) but was disappointing on main courses, and it's hard to get a reservation as you can only book 24 hours in advance. Same applies to Paparazzi at Tamarijn which is part of the Divi package. Really recommend going off-site for dinners. It's worth the extra you pay, and you get to experience more of Aruba's fine dining places -- there are many and the food is great! Be adventurous. There are several dining places we would recommend from experience of 3 trips over an 8-year period.

Of the 3 hotels we've stayed at, we would return to Divi. They could use a bit of renovation but overall, a nice place to stay. Very relaxing and convenient.
